A few quick notes from my field checks over the last week:
I picked May 20 for a GDU date, as that turned out to be right in the middle of the corn planting window.
GDU’s to maturity:
8859 - 2040
9188 - 2170
9492 - 2350
9624 - 2300
May 1 planted acres are @ full dent, while June 10 planted acres are maybe a bit past blister stage.
Anything planted before the rain returned back in May, is at some stage of denting. 400 GDU’s to maturity.

Some solid GDU accumulation to come yet over the next week:

Next full moon date:
Tue. Sept. 17
If you ascribe to any “old wives tales”, this is our highest risk date for a hard frost.
If a full moon meets a clear sky and a cold snap.
